Each month, Russell Collins, executive director of the Michigan Theater will lead a lively discussion of movie plots, characters and the unique cinematic elements that send subtle messages to viewers. Films selected will include both popular blockbusters and independents, and cover thought-provoking dramas, intense thrillers, and more.
Light refreshments provided.
The Russ Collins Film Discussion Group meets at the J every second Monday of each month, with the exception of the meeting in January, once a month from 7-8:30 p.m. EST starting January through June 2023. The discussion is in-person or online.
Cost: $60 for six sessions. Space is limited.
Films are new theatrical releases playing in Ann Arbor theaters. Participants see them individually at their convenience before the monthly discussion.
