Camp Raanana serves children entering Kindergarten through Grade 10. Campers are placed into groups by grade consisting of 5 or more campers. Each cabin is supervised by two or three staff members depending on the age group. Campers will participate in activities within their groups, and other activities individually based on their choice of chugim (electives). Groups also participate in divisional and all-camp programs. Middle school aged campers engage in leadership activities and have a wider range of choices in activities. High school aged participants are Counselors-in-Training, and engage in leadership and life skill development as well as enjoying the great outdoors and community excursions.
The Camp Raanana day starts when the camp bus departs the JCC at 8:30 AM sharp. At 9:00 AM, we arrive at Cedar Lake Nature Center in Chelsea where the fun begins. After a busy day of rotating activities like swimming, boating, singing, archery, and more, campers board the bus and return to the JCC by 4:00 PM. Campers are also welcome to be dropped off at and picked up from Cedar Lake Nature Center if that is more convenient. Post camp care is available – see below.
