Third Thursday @ the J: Washtenaw Community Concert Band
April 19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmFree
The Washtenaw Community Concert Band was created in 2010 and strives to provide its members, audiences, and the greater Ann Arbor community with quality musical experiences that inspire a greater appreciation for concert band music. Their Town Band is a 20-piece ensemble that focuses on vintage music (1880-1920) and play in period dress. Members of the Town Band will visit the J on April 19 to discuss the history of town bands in America (presented by conductor Jerry Robbins) and play selected musical pieces.
