Third Thursday @ the J: Alternative Movements in Judaism
Thu June 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Join us for our monthly lunch and learn style presentation where we will explore three of the six major branches of Judaism: Jewish Renewal, Reconstructing Judaism, and Humanistic Judaism. Our panel will include SooJi Min-Maranda, executive director of ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, Clare Kinberg, director of the Ann Arbor Reconstructionist Congregation’s Beit Sefer (religious school), as well as a long-time leader and member of the Ann Arbor Jewish Cultural Society. Come learn about their different approaches to Jewish ritual, observance, ideas, and education.
You can bring your own vegetarian (dairy & fish), nut-free lunch or reserve one in advance from our Lunch Cafe.
This event is free and open to the public, but we would appreciate your RSVP. Thank you!
