Low Impact Chair Exercise

An event every week that begins at 11:00am on Thursday, repeating until December 27, 2018
Low-impact exercise benefits every part of the body, including the mind. Exercises in this class are done with the aid of a chair while sitting and standing and may include bands or light weights. The workout contains balance and strengthening endurance exercises. To increase each person’s energy, different techniques are introduced: Chinese self-massage, Qigong practice to draw energy from nature, and Donna Eden’s energy exercise routines. For cool downs, some Tai Chi practices are used.
$3 for member or community member (Thursday)
• Shoes are required.
• A water bottle is highly recommended.
If cancelling less than two hours before class or you do not show, full price of the class will be forfeited and will not be refunded. Must call JCC if cancelling. If class is cancelled due to instructor illness, weather, or building closure, participant will not forfeit class, and will have an opportunity to make up the class in the next week or a week when they are able to attend.
Julia is Maria Farquhar’s daughter and has subbed for the Low Impact class since October, 2013. She has taught other fitness classes including water aerobics from 2011-2013, and in Tobago, West Indies from 2002-2004. Julia has been a massage therapist since 1994 and was voted “Best Massage Therapist” in 2012 from Current Magazine. She is excited to help you achieving your goals.
