You read that right. This year the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor and Chabad of Ann Arbor will be all smiles at our Emoji Purim! “Emoji Purim” will include all the familiar traditions, but with an exciting new twist.

Early Registration is open through February 26th, 2018 by clicking on the links below, or by calling the J at (734) 971-0990.

5:15 p.m – Optional Megillah reading, a traditional re-telling of the story of brave Queen Esther, and her cousin Mordechai who saved the Jewish people from the wicked Haman in ancient Persia. Also available is a PJ Library corner with Purim books for a variety of ages to be read individually or listened to as they are read by a storyteller.
5:45 p.m. – participants can enjoy a kosher emoji-themed dinner with dessert and even more activities:
- familiar activities like Purim music and dancing
- there will also be games and table toys
- emoji arts & crafts
- emoji face painting
6:45 p.m. – entertainment provided by Scott & Christopher. Experience up close daring fire acts, sideshow antics, juggling and so much more.
Purim would not be complete without costumes, the most symbolic tradition of the holiday, so participants are encouraged to get creative.
“Everyone, from toddlers to teens, will have a blast at this event that promises to be amazing,” says Shternie Zwiebel.
Walk-ins are welcome at the door at the rate of $12 per person or $36 per household. For more information about the event please call Chabad at (734) 995-3276.
