Jewish Ethics and Policing in the US and Israel*

The relationship between police and civilians is not just a problem in the United States. As a recent article in the New York Times demonstrated, it is also very much a problem in Israel. Rabbi Fred Schwalb and Prof. Benjamin Ish-Shalom of Beit Morasha Jerusalem will dialogue about the problem in Israel, how it is complicated by the added issues related to security, what is currently being done to solve the problem, and what remains to be done. Following the dialogue, there will be a question and answer period.
