Live Music at the J: Waddles
Wed June 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The Ann Arbor JCC presents the third and final performance in a series of three evenings of oustanding, toe tapping, hand clapping, jazz, swing, and big band classics ranging from the 1920’s through the 1950’s, and more. Join us for any or all of the concerts. The cost for each performance is the same at $12/person or $10/person for J members.
The June concert brings us Harlem stride pianist and baritone, Alvin Waddles. A Detroit native, Waddles studied piano from a young age, graduating from the University of Michigan School of Music, and immediately immersing himself in the Detroit music scene. He has performed with some of the world’s finest musicians and at venues, clubs, and festivals all over the world. His signature tribute shows on George Gershwin, Fats Waller, and Louis Jordan, among others, continue to delight and entertain. Watch and listen here.
