Join us Sunday for “What’s So Funny About Israel?”
Sun February 23 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Join in this interactive, participatory, and laughter-filled experience as Lovitt helps us explore humor both inside and outside Israel.
The Israel Center @ the J, Beth Israel Congregation, and the Jewish Federation present: What’s So Funny About Israel? with Benji Lovitt. Lovitt is a comedian, comedy historian, educator, and writer who uses humor and laughter to narrow the gap between our understanding of Israel and our understanding of ourselves as American Jews. An American Jew who made Aliyah to Israel more than ten years ago, Lovitt brings his unique perspective on the absurdities and realities of Jewish life on both sides of the planet.
We will be serving laughter and light refreshements, so please RSVP today, so we make sure to have enough of both!
Never seen Benji Lovitt? Check out a clip of him doing stand-up: https://youtu.be/bZNbGqc8IQI
This is a program of the Israel Center @ the J, presented free of charge via generous support from the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Foundation.
Please note this event will be held at Beth Israel Congregation, 2000 Washtenaw Avenue.
The Israel Center at the J provides opportunities for individuals to engage with Israel, thoughtfully and respectfully, together as a community.
