Early Childhood Center Camp Keshet |
|
| Camp Keshet is a specially designed camp experience for preschool-aged children. Using the lovely grounds and facilities of the JCC Early Childhood Center, campers spend each morning engaging in outdoor Active Learning experiences using our specially designed summer outdoor environment. A consistent daily routine provides a confidence-building comfort for young campers and includes small group times for exploration of art and nature, large group times for music and movement, and times for children to plan, carry out and talk about their own initiatives which are supported by our highly qualified teachers. Exciting new programming is planned for the summer of 2008 at Camp Keshet. |
Within the routine, each day has its own special identity: Mondays are for bidding farewell to Shabbat with Havdallah, Tuesdays and Thursdays we travel a short way to Buhr Park, where we have exclusive use of the tot pool. One Wednesday of each session will feature a special program or field trip and Fridays we celebrate the coming of Shabbat. Camp Keshet features a staff to camper ratio or 1:7 and 1:4 at the pool! To enhance each camper’s experience, children not enrolled at the ECC attend for two-week sessions consisting of 5 mornings/week.
