Zumba is a high intensity, low impact aerobic dance class. Features include Latin & international rhythms including merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, flamenco, and samba and Bhangra. You will get a total body workout through a combination of easy to follow dance and fitness steps. It’s exercise in disguise.
$5 for J member or community member
• Gym shoes are required
• A water bottle is highly recommended
New clients should arrive 5 minutes early to fill out a waiver.
If cancelling less than two hours before class or you do not show, full price of the class will be forfeited and will not be refunded. Must call JCC if cancelling. If class is cancelled due to instructor illness, weather, or building closure, participant will not forfeit class, and will have an opportunity to make up the class in the next week or a week when they are able to attend.
Karen Silverman has been a fitness instructor since 1993 and became nationally certified in 1994. She has taught aerobic dance, slide, step, strength, Bosu, stability ball. In 2008, she became a licensed Zumba instructor. Zumba is her favorite workout because she loves the music, and the moves engage your core like no other dance workout. Most of all, she loves that class participants are having fun knowing that w are doing is making a difference in their lives.
Susie has been a dance instructor for over 20 years, teaching tap, jazz, ballet, and hiphop. After taking her first Zumba class, she became addicted to the fun and fitness Zumba offered. She teaches both Zumba basic and Zumba toning and loves being an instructor! The music and rhythm is infectious, and everyone who takes the class is happily surprised that it’s a fantastic work which requires no dance experience! It will add vitality to your life, as well as burn calories & tone your muscles. Enjoy life, Zumba!
