Join the Ann Arbor J at Bookstock on Sunday, April 23, 2017 and help raise funds while promoting literacy! Bookstock is the largest used book and media sale in Southeast Michigan held each year at Laurel Park Place shopping mall. The proceeds from the sale support education and literacy programs throughout the state while also supporting non-profits like the J! This year's sale runs April 23 - April 30. People who volunteer to help at the sale will also be generating financial support…

Instructors: Maria Farquhar (Tue.), Julia Braden (Thu.) Low-impact exercise benefits every part of the body, including the mind. Exercises in this class are done with the aid of a chair while sitting and standing and may include bands or light weights. The workout contains balance and strengthening endurance exercises. To increase each person’s energy, different techniques are introduced: Chinese self-massage, Qigong practice to draw energy from nature, and Donna Eden’s energy exercise routines. Each summer around 20,000 people from all over the United States travel to Ypsilanti's Riverside Park for Elvisfest, a weekend-long festival celebrating the life and music of Elvis Presley. The festival includes a stage with rotating Elvis impersonators, a candlelight vigil for Elvis, and a fundraiser for Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels, among other events.
